Hope

Hope

Hope is lace

It is glass

It can be touched but

It is easily torn.

Hope is beautiful

and healing

But it is not solid

like trust.

"HOPE" is a metaphor of itself:

"H" is open on the top and bottom--

vulnerable--but open

enough to share and receive.

"O" is complete, 

closed up enough to have some strength--

but still empty inside

in expectation of completion.

"P" is 1/2 full &1/2 empty,

full enough and closed on top--

potential to fill

and room for more on bottom.

"E" is open arms--

open in expectation of something--Someone--

head bowed in the center,

humility is needed for hope.

"And these three remain...Faith, Hope and Love..." (I Corinthians 13)

Hope: it is one of the three that remain....
